This video is based on the Vertigo graphic novel DMZ which is written by Brian Wood. It was created using vector illustrations in Illustrator taken from scans of the comic, which were then taken into After Effects and animated.
The 3D model of Manhattan was created inside Maya using a map of New York to get the overall layout.
The basis of the video was set as a tv show intro.
